English classroom interaction refers to the relevant use of knowledge of English as the basic carrier,the treatment of English language as the basic form,and the feedback to modify the content of interaction formed with great efforts between teachers and students in English classroom teaching.With regard to knowledge,English classroom interaction can create more opportunities for students' language output,and is also helpful for the teachers to find the problems existing in the teaching content;as to oral language ability,interactive classroom teaching mode can promote the students' classroom participation,and their initiative for classroom activities;emotionally,interactive classroom activity model promotes emotion teaching to cultivate higher vocational students' study initiative and creativity,which is crucial for vocational students.Therefore,the analysis of English classroom interaction has profound significance.From the Shanghai Institute of Technology of Profession and Electronic Information,the author of this paper selects two teachers and two freshman classes,including a class of financial management and a class of electronics,as the research objects,observes and records the content of higher vocational English classroom interaction between teachers and students in class.Mainly from the perspective of the theory of second language acquisition and based on the theory of discourse analysis and social interactions,this paper uses collects,analyzes and explains the data from two aspects: the interaction between teachers and students,and between students and students.This paper raises three research questions: 1)Can classroom interaction promote the communication between the students in class? 2)Can classroom interaction promote the communication between the students and the teacher in class?2)Can classroom interaction improve the students' testing performance? This paper adopts the methods of observation,questionnaire and interview and also collects and analyses the results of the pretest and post test from both experimental class and controlled class to find whether there exists significant difference.This paper finds that classroom interaction can promote the communication between the students in class,can promote the communication between the students and the teacher in class and can improve the students' testing performance.Therefore,to use this novel teaching method in higher vocational English class can have more positive effectsthan the traditional teaching method.
