A Study Of The Translation Of Cultural-loaded Words In Uygur Version Of "Wolf Totem"

Xinjiang is a multi-ethnic areas,due to different ethnic groups of different religious beliefs,traditional customs,lifestyles and aesthetic taste and so on,resulting in differences in national culture.The language is the carrier of culture,however,phrases are the most reflecting unit of the national culture.National cultural differences can be expressed through the language,especially the performance of culture-loaded words carrying a lot of cultural information.This paper aims to study the translation of the culture-loaded words in the novel "Wolf Totem" based on the predecessors' research results.This paper analyzes the choice of domestication and alienation strategies of cultural-loaded words in Uygur translation from the aspects of ecological cultural words,material cultural words,social cultural words,religious cultural words and language vocabulary.Meanwhile,through the analysis of the translation strategies,it is found that the cultural conversion is the mainly difficulty of cultural-loaded words in Uygur translation.Absolute reproduction of the original text is difficult to achieve,this difficulty is mainly due to the way of thinking,religious beliefs,historical and cultural differences.We believe that only the combination of domestication and alienation is conducive to the accurate transmission of information and the realization of cultural exchange.
