Study Of ShiJie Control Thought

Shi Jie is a famous forerunner about Neo-Confucianism in the early days of the Northern Song Dynasty.And he plays a very important role in inheriting the prelude of Confucianism revival movement at end of Tang Dynasty and opening the Neo-Confucianism.Shi Jie is in a era which has a fierce class and nation contradiction and the frequent wars making people's life unstable.Under the internal and external circumstance,how to effectively integrate social politics,economy and culture to implement effective social control and ensure that the stability of social operation and order becomes the main issues that the ruling class and the heart of the Confucian scholar who worries about.Shi Jie inherits the spirit of Confucianism focusing on the real world,commits to maintaining Confucian ethics and morality,concerns about social affairs,addresses the current situation,puts forward a series of ideas on social integration and control.The paper mainly analyzes the thought of Shi Jie's social control from the theory of social control.Firstly,it discusses the development of Shi Jie's life and his thought so as to analyze and study the thought of social control well.At the same time,connecting with the social control thought of Shi Jie under the background of complicated political contradictions and economic culture in the early period of the Northern Song Dynasty and the rise of the Confucianism movement in the late Tang Dynasty to explore the social foundation of the development of the social control thoughts.Secondly,this paper explores the theoretical basis of Shi Jie's social control thought,studies the moral theory and the cultivation concept with the theory of Shi Jie's theory of human nature,further researches the Confucianism's moral ontology thought by Shi Jie's theory of Heaven,that is,how to make the Confucianism rise to the height of heaven,establish the sanctity of heaven.So that member of society pursues actively from inner,consciously follows of the class ethics that the Confucian advocates to achieve a positive role to social stability.Besides,this paper explores the internal social control thought of Shijie,and points outthat the Shijie excludes the Buddhism and Taoism by using the ethical control,advocate Jun pro-supreme,and advocates the necessity of returning Confucian ritual culture to the mainstream.At the same time,it explores Shijie Shijie promotes Confucianism,shapes the ethical morals of the members of society,upholding the system of saints and the role of Ming Junxian in order to achieve the effectiveness of social control.Fourthly,it explores the external social control thoughts of Shijie.It is argued that the effective control of the society,which is advocated by Shijie,not only does needs the inner moral cultivation of the members of society,but also requires external legal,political,economic,and other external control means.Finally it achieves the purpose of social stability and orderly operation.
