Translation Report On Touring Washington D.C.

This report briefly introduces the book,Touring Washington D.C.and translation process.This study also investigates the application of Reiss' s Text Typology Theory to the translation project,E-C translation of the book.The report focuses on the discussion of translation approaches and techniques of proper nouns and complicated sentences with the guidance of Text Typology Theory.Transliteration with a note of source text,and literal translation with a note of source text and explanatory note is employed to deal with proper nouns.Complicated sentences are explored mainly through division and shift translation techniques in the case study.
