With the development of emotional intelligence theory,more and more scholars began to study the emotional intelligence on the individual's life,work and other aspects of the impact.And teachers,as a high emotional inputer and expresser,the level of emotional intelligence not only affect their own mental health level,will also affect the students.Self-emotional intelligence is the ability to process their emotions,and occupational well-being is a kind of pleasant feeling which the individual have achieved in the work.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the relationship between teacher's emotional intelligence and occupational well-being.Firstly,this paper briefly reviews the current situation of emotional intelligence theory and teachers' occupational well-being,and points out the existing problems in the previous researches.Secondly,according to the three-dimensional theory of emotional intelligence,the self-emotional intelligence scale of primary and secondary school teachers was compiled.The research use the self-made questionnaire and primary and secondary school teachers' occupational well-being Scale to measure the emotional intelligence and occupational well-being of them.The results showed:(1)The primary and secondary school teachers self-emotional intelligence scale has a good reliability and validity,it can be used as a measure of primary and secondary school teachers self-emotional intelligence tool.The scale contain 25 questions and six dimensions: perception and experience their positive emotions,perception and experience their negative emotions,expression and evaluation their positive emotions,expression and evaluation their negative emotions,regulation and control their positive emotions,regulation and control their negative emotions.(2)The development level of the primary and secondary school teachers' self-emotional intelligence is better.There were significant differences in some demographic variables of self-emotional intelligence.(3)Primary and secondary school teachers' occupational well-being than the average level.(4)There were significant differences in whether to teach graduation classes,marital status and the number of week classes of the primary and secondary school teachers' occupational well-being.(5)Occupational well-being,job satisfaction and positive affect were positively correlated with self-emotional intelligence,and self-emotional intelligence was negatively correlated with negative affect.(6)Primary and secondary school teachers' self-emotional intelligence can positively predicted their occupational well-being.
