Yundi Li has made great contributions to the development of the western classical music in China.Besides his concerts,the interviews he had have the greatest influence.Taking advantage of a large amount of audience,he conveys his piano-learning experience and views to the western classical music.Interpreting these interviews at home and abroad could provide music learners with precious experience in different perspectives.This paper is a report of interpretation practice with the selected materials from the media at home and abroad.These interviews,from 2007 to 2016.all focus on Yundi Li.As the materials contain various types of the western classical music,doing consecutive interpretation practice to discuss the general features and interpreting approach of cultural interviews has a certain pioneering and reference value.The report is composed of five parts.Chapter One briefly introduces the the task.Chapter Two is the task description which includes the description of the interpretation materials,the analysis of the tasks and objectives,and the significance of the report.Chapter Three is the process description which contains the preparation for the interpretation,learning Theory of Adaptation,analyzing the difficulties in interpreting interviews on cultural issues,and post-presentation by finishing the practice.Chapter Four is a case study with examples and explanation of the words,sentences and chapters interpretation skills.Chapter Five summarizes what has been learned from this interpretation practice and the limitations of this report.It is hoped that this interpretation practice analysis can not only summarize the importance of interpreting the western classical music interview,but also help the subsequent interpretation work and practice.
