Through seven years’development, the Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum gradually showed its own impact around the region. On May 15th,2014, the 8th Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum was held in Nanning, pushing forward the regional economic cooperation in an all-round way, as well as speeding up the construction progress of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. The interpreter was responsible for the consecutive interpreting for three guest interviews in this grand event. This mission, related to the professional knowledge of economy, was a last-minute call, which provided limited time for preparation. The interpreter accomplished the mission independently with little professional economic knowledge, which indicates the significance of analysis. In order to keep track of the whole interpreting process, the interpreter recorded the whole three interviews. This interpreting project report, fully analyzed every procedure of interview interpreting from mission assignment, pre-interpreting preparation, case study, application of interpreting strategies to interpreting evaluation, in hope of offering certain references for fellow interpreters. The author illustrated how to reasonably anticipate during interpreting from the perspective of relevance theory, how to supplement and omit during interpreting in the light of interpretive theory, as well as how to deal with the emergencies effectively. At last, a summary was made about the characteristics of interview interpretation, along with the self-evaluation and summary based on the reflection and clients’feedback.
