Freedom is a very important and heated conception since modern China.The direct stimulus factor lies in the abjection of modern China and the introduction of western culture.Behind the deep causes result from the general belief that our traditional culture lack the spirit of freedom,and even there is still a lot of tension between Confucianism and freedom.In fact,the question of freedom is the topic that all civilized society should confront with,but due to the differences in the form of civilization,the freedom conception is interpreted from different perspectives in various levels.Confucius freedom is reflected from "do not overdue as we want at seventy ".Confucius 'free conception developed in the context of the Dukes disputes,political order chaos,ideological liberation,thoughts contending,especially the reconstruction of the value.It is essential for human being to consider followings questions: what is the essence are human beings,how they live,how they look on value and meaning of life.Confucius freedom is embodied in three dimensions.Firstly,"no overdue" means not violate the Rites(Li),the "Justice" ensure the Rites(Li)and legitimacy.Secondly,“no overdue” is not violate Benevolence(Ren),is the true Emotional expression.Thirdly,"do not over take from inner heart" embodies the freedom realm with the infinite harmony of humanity and heaven,the unity of man and nature.The realization of Confucius freedom depends on following aspects: thought is the result of the realization of Confucius' freedom.The realization of Confucius' freedom requires the development of knowledge,the standard of social order and the establishment of the principle of value.The doctrine of the mean is free to realize the important Methodology,through the "too much","no suitable no Mo,righteousness and the ratio" "nothing can" three progressive level,in order to finally achieve "seventy from the heart of the free" realm of freedom.There is difference as well as in common of the Freedom between Confucius and Chuang Tzu.The difference results from different understanding about the world.Confucius attach the emphasis on nominal rectification,distinction,whereas Chuang Tzu pay attention to all things together,seeking the same.In the realization of the way,Confucius focus on the mediocrity under the guidance of the practice of practice,Chuang Tzu focus on the method of spiritual activities as purifying heart and sitting oblivion.But in the realm of freedom,there is difference as well as the same.The common are expressed as no constraints,bound to” nothingness" free realm,the difference lie in that Confucius "nothingness" is convert "being" into "nothingness",while Chuang Tzu " nothingness" means exclude "being" so as to reach nothingness.
