Translation Practice Report On Educational Laws And Regulations

With the further development of China's reform and opening-up,exchanges between universities of different countries are ever gathering its momentum.As a result,the translated version for the educational laws and regulations is of great need,which will not only enable the foreign students to know more about the regulations that they should observe at university,but also be beneficial to increase the influence of Chinese education.This report takes “the translation of the educational laws and regulations” as its theme.With the guidance of New Mark's text typology,it mainly discusses the linguistic features and translation strategies of the educational regulations.The report is divided into four parts.The first part is the description of the original text,which includes the background information and linguistic features of the original text,the criteria of translation and the working-form during the translation procedure.The second part is the description of translation procedure,which discusses the preparation before the translation practice,the theoretical basis of the report,the difficulties during the translation procedure as well as the proofreading of the first translated version.The third part is the analysis of translation strategies employed in this translation practice,which is discussed from lexical and syntactic perspectives.The last part is the conclusion.
