The Research On The Ninth Plenary Session Of Fifth Central Committee Of Kuomintang

On December 8th in 1941,the Pacific War broke out,the world situation changed with it.At this critical moment,the National Government held the Ninth Plenary Sessions of the 5th Central Committee of the Kuomintang in Chongqing,the session discussed the plans of the Anti-Japanese War and the foundation of the state in future.The convening of this session had a significant role in the policy adjustment of the Kuomintang in the late period of the Anti-Japanese war.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the background of the Ninth Plenary Sessions of the 5th Central Committee of the Kuomintang,including the process of Japanese invasion to China,the changed attitude of the international community for the Sino-Japanese War and the National Government was waiting for the changes of international situation.The second part introduces the convening of the Ninth Plenary Sessions of the 5th Central Committee of the Kuomintang,including the preparatory work,meeting process,and approved main resolutions.The third part focuses on the main issues of the Ninth Plenary Sessions of the 5th Central Committee of the Kuomintang,including the discussions about party affairs,politics,military and economy affairs.The fourth part discusses the influence and evaluation of the Ninth Plenary Sessions of the 5th Central Committee of the Kuomintang,including the infuence on the National Government,and the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,as well as strengthening the cooperation between the National Government and the Allies.
