The Study Of Adverbs In Sancao Collection

Cao Cao,Cao Pi and Cao Zhi is the first literary group which is created by individuals in similar style.Their essays were rich in content,diversified in themes,reliable and relatively close to spoken language,which can objectively reflect the language development in this period.Therefore,the prose works of San Cao at the end of Han Dynasty were selected as the source of corpus,and the adverbs in the Collected Works of San Cao were research object.Based on the Chinese lexicology,Chinese grammar and other theories,the outlines of the adverbs of Collected Works of San Cao were revealed.In the research process,through the exhaustive statistical method and classification description,the use of adverbs at the end of the Han Dynasty were analyzed from the perspective of semantics and function in order to improve the adverbs research in medieval times.This thesis was divided into three parts:The first part was an overview.First of all,the current situation of Chinese adverbs,the corpus introduction and its attribution were explained.Second,the purpose,significance,methods and steps were presented.Finally,the definition of adverbs and its classification criteria were introduced,and the author’s own classification was put forward into eight categories of the adverbs in Collected Works of San Cao.The second part was the usage of the adverbs in Collected Works of San Cao.The 249 adverbs presented were divided into 8 categories of degree adverbs,range adverbs,situation adverbs,negative adverbs,time adverbs,modal adverbs,related adverbs and reference adverbs.Then every category was divided into sub-categories again.Under each sub-category,the adverbs were described from the aspects of modification function and the explanation to show the usage and distribution of the adverbs comprehensively.The third part was the comprehensive investigation of the adverbs of Collected Works of San Cao.By the method of analysis,the distribution of adverbs were summarized,the appearances of the two-tone adverbs were examined,the adverbs using together and the class situation were introduced,and finally through comparative analysis with the Six Degrees Set,the adverbs in the Han and Wei Dynasties were presented more perfectly.
