University is the key period of the development of personality which has a far-reaching impact on the future development of the individual.Emotional expression plays an important role in the process of interpersonal communication and affects individual physical and mental health.To a certain extent,if the student has alexithymia personality characteristics will affect his interpersonal and social adaptation.Family is the support system of growth and development,which has an effect on individual’s way of thinking and behavior.family functional integrity has a positive impact on individual’s emotional and personality.With the age increasing and the environment changing,the individual living in the various relationship need update and improve the evaluation model of relationship satisfaction to adapt his life and meet his demand and value.In this study,771 college students were investigated by using the TAS-20,FAD and Interpersonal Satisfaction Scales.This paper used the descriptive statistics,T test and variance analysis to explore the differences of demographic variables,and used the Pearson correlation,stepwise regression analysis and mediating effect test to explore the relationship of alexithymia,family function and interpersonal relationship satisfaction.The conclusions were as follows:The overall situation of college students’ alexithymia is more optimistic.There are significant gender differences in difficulty describing feeling,extraversion thinking and the total score;There are significant census register differences in difficulty describing feeling;There are significant father’s education level differences in difficulty describing feeling and the total score.The current college students’ family function is relatively sound.There are significant gender differences in all dimension of family function except behavioral control;There are significant grade differences in emotional intervention and behavior control;There are significant census register differences in the problem resolution,the role and the total score;There are significant father’s education level differences in therole,the emotion response,emotional intervention and total score.College students’ interpersonal satisfaction is generally higher.There are significant gender differences in all dimensions and total score of interpersonal satisfaction;There are significant grade differences in the barriers of communication,the difference conflict,moral quality and the total score;There are significant one-child or not one-child family differences only in the barriers of communication.There are significant correlations of college students’ alexithymia,family satisfaction and interpersonal satisfaction.Difficulty describing feeling and extroversion thinking have a significant predictive effect on interpersonal satisfaction;The three dimensions of alexithymia have a significant predictive effect on family function;Family function of the total function,behavior control,emotional intervention and problem solving have a significant predictive effect on interpersonal satisfaction.The family function of college students plays a part of mediating role between alexithymia and interpersonal satisfaction.
