Interpersonal trust is a complicated psychological phenomenon in interpersonalcommunication, affected by many factors. The family, as the first environment to individuals’growth, strongly influences interpersonal communication. Based on family function, the studyresearched on the current situation of college students’ interpersonal trust, and thenconstructed the relationship model among family function, sense of coherence andinterpersonal trust. The study enriches the information about sense of coherence andinterpersonal trust, also helps the college students realize the family effect to theirdevelopment and improves their communication skill. Here are the conclusions:1. On the whole, the college students’ family function, sense of coherence andinterpersonal trust are at the medium level.2. The school classification has a notable main effect on college students’ family functiontotal points, general functioning, problem solving, communication, affective involvement, andundergraduates’ score is lower than junior college students. Grade has a notable main effecton family function total points and its dimensions, and sophomore get lower scores than othergrades’ students. Gender has a notable main effect on behavior control, and boys’ score islower than girls’. Grade and gender, have a significant interaction on behavior control androle. School classification and grade have a significant interaction on problem solving.3. Sense of coherence and its dimensions both have a notable main effect on grade andgender. Sophomores’ score is higher than other grades’ students and boys’ score is higher thangirls’. School classification has a main effect on Sense of coherence, controllability andmeaningfulness dimensions. The undergraduates’ score is higher than junior college students.School classification and grade have a significant interaction on controllability dimensions.4. Interpersonal trust has a notable main effect on grade and gender. Sophomores andjuniors’ scores are higher than freshman and seniors’. Boys’ score is higher than girls’. Gradeand gender have a significant interaction on interpersonal trust.5. There is a very close relationship between family function, sense of coherence andinterpersonal trust. Family function and sense of coherence have a significantly negativecorrelation. Family function and interpersonal trust have a significantly negative correlation. Sense of coherence and interpersonal trust have a significantly positive correlation.6. Mediating effect test results show that the sense of coherence plays a mediate rolebetween family function and interpersonal trust.
