The whole world witnesses a relatively stable GDP growth in the modern 21 st century. It seems that poverty is far away and every human being enjoys a life of prosperity. However, poverty is still lingering in every corner of the world, becoming one of the top threats, weakening world economy and damaging people's lives.Consequently, poverty eradication is doubtlessly listed as the primary task of the UN Millennium Development Goals. The source text of this translation project is A Unified Approach to Measuring Poverty and Inequality:Theory and Practice. It was published by the World Bank in 2013.This official document falls into information document category, focusing on economic study of poverty and the ways to solve relevant problems. The translation of this project could, hopefully, help government officials to make decisions on poverty-prevention.In the light of the Theory of Intersubjectivity, this translation project report purports that the translation quality is much bettered. There are four chapters in this project: Chapter one gives the overall introduction of the translation report, including the reason why the translator chooses this book, the goal and the significance of this project;Chapter two delineates the term “Intersubjectivity” theological and thereby explores how this theory works throughout the holistic process of translation;Chapter three analyzes the difficulties and ways to solve problems, via retranslation, analyzing the relations between different subjects to over come difficulties;the last Chapter concludes the whole translation project, underling the thesis statement the translation project repeat for,and reporting problems that need to be further addressed.
