The silk road is a commercial road which has a more than two thousand years of history.It is also a cultural road for East and west civilizations to exchange and learn from each other.The documentary on the silk road is not only an important carrier for tracing,recording and propagating the civilization of the Silk Road,but also an important manifestation of the different understanding and cognition of the silk road.These differences in understanding and cognition are of great significance for us to enrich and deepen the study of the Silk Road and to strengthen cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries along the silk road.This paper takes NHK and CCTV's new silk road as the research object,and presents and discusses the narrative differences and cultural differences from three perspectives: narrative text,the creative way of narrative subject,and the reading of the receiver.Structurally,this paper is divided into six chapters(The sixth chapter is conclusion)to discuss the differences between NHK and CCTV's documentary on the new silk road.The first chapter is the introduction.It analyses the documentary films of NHK and CCTV on the basis of text analysis and narrative theory,including the basis of the selected topic,the object of the study and the survey;The second chapter is narrative and documentary,including documentary and cultural relations,narrative concept definition and narrative documentary analysis;The third chapter analyses the difference between the narrative text of CCTV and NHK the new silk road through the text character set and temporal expression.The analysis showed that CCTV version pays attention to the individual causing the imagination of the silk road group.But the NHK version focuses on the realistic individual acting as the chronicler to record the life of mordern silk road.In time and space expression,CCTV and NHK versions were respectively concerned about the past and present,traditional and modern,historical and religious differences.The fourth chapter study the main difference of the narrative mode of creation between CCTV and NHK the new silk road,the main technique differences which including the use of of differences in interpretation,person perspective and reproduction of the scenes,reflect the creation of different turn.Creators of CCTV tend to use the commentary and perspective as well as a large number of omniscient and omnipotent scene reappearance of objective facts creation technique to reflect the relationship between the history and the Silk Road.The content including war and peace,is a past Silk Road and the Central Plains culture as the center of Modern Silk Road and other cultural system for edge,including ignoring religious narrative;the Japanese creators tend to reflect the relationship between the Silk Road and the nature,which includes the harmony between man and nature,man and society and man and themselves,with the modern silk road as the center and other cultural systems for edge,including ignoring the narration of the central plains culture,but also reflects the Chinese and Japanese the new silk road documentary dissemination of different ethics.The fifth chapter analyses the reading differences of the recipient of CCTV and NHK version of the new silk road.From the differences between those who accept the narrative perspective,narrative the reiptient to participate in the narrative characters analysis and indicates the symbols to decode camera,found that the new silk road(CCTV)readbility is higher and the new silk road(NHK)legibility is higher.The study found that the CCTV version with a grand narrative is the focus of the Silk Road cultural history,the Silk Road to non physical existence is closely related to people's life,a generation of traditional cultural expressions,and it has a strong role in the music of the people,and actively guide the content has a profound ideological content,its appeal more in line with the aesthetic needs of Chinese,also with a nation of their own culture,self-esteem,pride,sense of Sanctification in dominant role;while the NHK version of the narrative angle from the microcosmic view,more modern silk road folk life: folk entertainment,religious festivals,political and economic projections,content presentation pluralism and openness,which demands more in line with the western aesthetic demand,satisfy people's basic necessities of life original requirements,social needs and spiritual needs of the living culture.
