With the acceleration of globalization of world economy,domestic enterprises face more and more competitive pressures.So if enterprises want to increase production,they have to ajust personnel allocation,the result of which is high job insecurity of employees.The experience of job insecurity has a bad effect on work engagement,and eventually ends in low production.In order to understand the influence of job insecurity on work engagement and the role of job satisfaction between them,this study carried on the questionnaire survey of 425 state-owned enterprises staff on job security,satisfaction and engagement.The results were analyzed with one-way analysis of variance and mediation regression analysis.Conclusions are suggested by this investigation:(1)In terms of demographic variables,excessive competition of job insecurity and degree of absorption from female is significantly higher than that from male.The job security of staff with junior high school diploma is significantly higher than that with university diploma.(2)The correlation among job insecurity,satisfaction and engagement are significant.In detail,there is significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and work engagement.In other words,the higher job insecurity is,the lower satisfaction and engagement is;the higher work engagement is,the higher satisfaction is.(3)There is partial intermediary of inner satisfaction and general satisfaction between job execution and vigor,and between excessive competition and vigor.There is partial intermediary of inner satisfaction and general satisfaction between job execution and devotion,and between excessive competition and devotion.There is partial intermediary of inner satisfaction between job execution and absorption.There is partial intermediary of inner satisfaction and general satisfaction between job execution and absorption.The investigation in this thesis shows negative correlation between job security and work engagement,and partial intermediary role of job satisfaction is found out.All this might provide a scientific basis for reasonable personnel policy of enterprises such as compensation and allocation of resources.
