In the past few decades,many bronze inscriptions of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty have been unearthed in the east and southeast of Shandong Province.These unearthed inscriptions can objectively reflect the principalities history of the Eastern Zhou period and the original appearance of ancient writing materials in the east and southeast of Shandong region,which is conducive to the promotion of paleography and the development of research on the history and culture of Shandong area.This paper collected a total of 72 the Eastern Zhou Dynasty bronzes inscriptions in the east and southeast of Shandong Province.These unearthed bronzes with inscriptions are from Weihai,Yantai,Qingdao,Weifang,Rizhao,Linyi.On the basis of the systematic arrangement of these bronze inscriptions,the bronze wares unearthed in the same city are divided into two periods:the Spring-Autumn period and the Warring States Period.The author made textual research on the inscriptions,words and related contents of each bronze ware.This paper consists of eight chapters:the first chapter is an introduction,including the time and spatial scopes of unearthed bronzes with inscriptions,the research status and significance.The main contents of this paper are from second to seventh chapters:integrated research on bronze inscriptions of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty that unearthed in six prefecture-level cities,including Weihai,Yantai,Qingdao,Weifang,Rizhao and Linyi.The integratedstudy of each bronze consists of three parts:description of inscriptions,collection of others published research results and explanations,and presention of the author viewpoint.The eighth chapter is the summary of the whole thesis.The bronze inscriptions materials in this paper are comprehensive and rich,and pay attention to the newly unearthed bronze inscriptions collected in recent years.On the basis of analyzing studying others published research findings and interpretation;the new views are given in this paper.In the explanation of the inscription,I try my best to collect the various opinions.By comparing and analyzing these opinions and research results,the optimal interpretation that the paper has value and significance for the study of bronze inscriptions grapheme and the explanations of words in ancient books,was presented.For the content of the inscriptions relating to politics,economy,diplomacy,war and other related history,I use the method of "dual evidence"---the content of the inscriptions and handed down documents---to confirm each other.
