A Report On The Chinese Translation Of Numerals In 2015 OBP Articles

The report,based on the Chinese translation of numerals in 2015 OBP articles,taking into consideration Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory,discusses the relevant examples of the Chinese translation of numerals and explores the issues of numeral translation in OBP documents,including translation of precise numerals,translation of multiplications and translation of vague words in an attempt to summarize the strategies of the translation of numerals in such documents.During the process of the translation practice and the research,the author finds that the accuracy of the translation of numerals in OBP documents is directly related to the accuracy of the translated text.Therefore,according to the special requirements of OBP documents,it is very important to choose appropriate strategies to improve the translation quality of this kind of documents.On the basis of above analysis and summary of the strategies of the translation of numerals in maritime documents,it is hoped that the research may enrich the studies on reference theory in various texts and provide guidance for translation practice in OBP documents to some extent.The report,analyzing and summarizing the translation strategies in OBP documents,aims to provide reference for the translation practice of this kind of documents.
