A Study On The Sychronic Characters And The Diachronic Development Of The New Structure Of "Bei"

The new structure of "Bei" in modern Chinese is named to distinguish from the traditional one.This paper intends to do a further research on the type,semantics and pragmatics of the new structure based on the researches available.It also tries to find out the similarities and the differences between the new structure and the traditional structure.The following are the research results of this paper:1.Synchronic research:on the aspect of type,there are many kinds of "X" added behind"Bei" just as distinguishing words and some special types like quantifiers,letters even onomatopoeias besides verbs(verb phrases),nouns(noun phrases),adjectives(adjective phrases)and trans-classed words.From the cognitive perspective,the new structure of "Bei9"lacks jmportant semantic third Angle--"disposal transitive verbs".In this paper,the semantic triangle refers to the three elements of "bei","disposal transitive verbs" and "X",which compose the traditional sturcture of "Bei".In the traditional sturcture of Bei","disposal transitive verbs" is as important as "bei" and is an essential part while "X" is optional.However,we found after study that the new stucture appears in the form"bei + X" while "disposal transitive verbs”is hidden though it is still very importtant in understanding.Whether there is the important semantic third Angle---" disposal transitive verbs" can be seen as the fundamental difference between the traditional structure and the new sturcture of "bei".and the new "bei".The point of view of the semantic triangle in the "Bei“structure could help us distinguish whether it is a new structure or not when it seems to be a traditional structure,and vice versa.On the aspect of semantics and pragmatics,the new structure still means passive,but different from the traditional structure,lots of the new structure always shows negative attitude at the same time.2.Diachronic research:define the nature of the development of the new structure.We believe that the new structure deviates and differentiates from the traditional structure,and develops with the traditional structure together.Both of them have a close relation with each other.On the way the new structure grows,it shows new changes and new developments on combinatorial material,semantics and pragmatics.These new changes and developments are caused by the user's psychology,character of language,media,etc.At last,we try to answer the question "the vitality of the new structure is not certain,it should be observed in the future." asked by the other researchers periodically:the new structure started to be popular in 2009 and the top was in 2011,then,it was less than before,but more steady.We still can see the new structure in the end of 2016,the new structure doesn't disappear.
