On The Study Of Deng Shiru's True Features As A Stone Inscription Practitioner

The appearance of stone inscription study in the middle period of qing dynasty is an important step in the development of the Chinese calligraphy.With the transform of stone inscription study,the commoner Deng Shiru took Zuan,Li,Kai,Tsao,and Seal Carving into the stone inscription study,and come out a successful way for the development of stone inscription study.The appearance of Deng Shiru not only broadens the fields of calligraphy but also changes the ideas of calligraphy,most importantly,the development of calligraphy is changed because of Deng Shiru.All this makes Deng Shiru an important figure in the history of calligraphy who affecting the later learners.The reason why Deng Shiru can be so successful practitioner in the field of calligraphy is his “original character”.This article divides the “original character” of Deng Shiru into four aspects,including the academic background,family environment and his travel and friends,the printed book or poetry,and lastly the successful practitioner of stone inscription study and combining with the present book printing practice necessary in this paper.While discuss the four aspects,the present situation of book and print shall also be considered for further discussion.
