The Research On The Protection And Development Of Historical And Cultural Famous Towns

As a great cultural country,China has numerous cultural relics,which are the witnesses of cultures and memories of eras.These precious cultural properties distribute all over China.Famous historical and cultural towns reserve a large number of tangible and intangible cultural heritages.The protecting of these towns is to protect the brilliant traditional cultures and the long history of China.From 2003,China published six groups of famous national historical and cultural towns and villages in succession,and set up a system for protecting these towns and villages.Through long-term efforts,we has achieved remarkable fruits in the protection,made more theoretical researches,got a more mature way in protection,and attracted increasing attention and supports from the government and all sectors of society.It should be clearly known that,in the exploration stage of the protection,we still face many problems which cannot be ignored: On the one hand,daily management and maintenance cannot be truly implemented because of few specific protection laws and regulations,insufficient funds and talents,as well as ineffective management.On the other hand,there are contradictions between the protection and construction and development,especially the contradiction of traditional cultural space and modern lifestyle,and tourism development and echtheit of ancient towns.These problems are universe,and require a solution with both universality and individuality.It is an urgent task to explore how to protect famous historical and cultural towns at the same time of improving living standard of local people and promoting economic development.Among these towns,Guxing Town,Henan Province hasn't being a famous historical and cultural town for long,and is in the initial stage in the protection and construction.Problems faced by this town are typical.With rich historical and cultural resources,Guxing Town is charming in its history.By analyzing this town with historical,cultural and artistic value,it is in the face of problems like destruction of integrated environment,low popularity and insufficient infrastructure.It is of universe significance to study causes and solutions for these typical problems of this town.Aiming at existing advantages,problems and opportunities of Guxing Town,the ideas and advices on its protection and future development are proposed.Guxing Town owns advantaged cultural resources.Relying on Zhengzhou,a provincial capital,it has convenient locational conditions and policy advantage.The current trend of creating a culturally grand province in Henan also brings development opportunities for Guxing Town.Under the premise of protection,we should take protection as the principal thing,develop reasonably,and insist principles of keeping real,integrity and sustainability in the future construction of Guxing Town.The government should enhance capital and political support,actively lead public participation,construct perfect infrastructure and service system,protect environment,and give consideration to tangible and intangible cultural heritages.On this basic,to forge a unique cultural image,cultural and ecological tourism should be reasonably developed.By systematical analysis,this author hopes to supplement researches on the protection and planning of Guxing Town,drive its scientific and sustainable development,and give reference for protecting famous historical and cultural towns in other regions.
