Topics Of Chinese Textbooks In Thailand: Take Thai Textbook

Over the last 40-odd years of the establishment of Sino-Thailand diplomatic relations,the number of Chinese learners from Thailand has been increasing year by year.Accordingly,the number of Chinese textbook for Thai learners had been increasing too.Textbooks vary with different schools,training institutions and online teaching classes etc.The selection and edition of textbooks' topics have a great impact on increasing the learning interests of learners and reaching educational effect.Elementary Chinese and Intermediate Chinese are the textbooks that are the most widely used in Thailand.So the author takes Elementary Chinese and Intermediate Chinese as an example,whose editors are professor Jingwen Ren.To research how much Chinese learners from Thailand are interested in topics from textbooks by doing questionnaire surveys and interviewing students and teachers from schools of Thailand,them to conclude topics that Chinese learners of Thailand are most interested in and least interested in and to analyze the reasons.Make proper suggestions for the selection of topics of textbooks by comparing with the original textbooks on this basis,so as to increase the interests of learning Chinese and improve the quality of Chinese teaching.The author found that the problems that topics have in Elementary Chinese and Intermediate Chinese are: the number of topics about the things that happen in Thailand is small;there is a huge lack of contemporary spirit and practicability.At the same time,the author make feasible suggestions accordingly: First,pay attention to national topics and properly select topics about Thailand;Second,classify the edition of textbooks and make topics fine;Third,pay attention to the contemporary spirit and practicability of topics.
