The theory of multiple intelligences(The multiple theory)was founded in 1983 by Professor Gardiner(Howard Gardner)at Harvard University in the United States of America(intelligences).The theory of multiple intelligences supports the diversity of human beings,and advocates that each person has different intelligences.Under the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligences,the teaching should be learner centered,and each learner can give full play to their abilities.Gardiner pointed out that the intelligent theory consists of 8 categories,namely: linguistic intelligence,logical mathematical intelligence,Spatial Intelligence,bodily kinesthetic intelligence,Musical Intelligence,Interpersonal Intelligence,Intrapersonal Intelligence,Natural Intelligence.Poetry plays an important role in the process of language learning.At present,the research on the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is mainly focused on Chinese grammar,pronunciation and vocabulary.Based on the theory of multiple intelligences,the author combines the theory with the Chinese poetry class to design the teaching design that meets the needs of the students.The research sample of this study is the Jeonju University and the University at Woosuk University,Jeonju,selected poems are the works of Xu Zhimo?Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again?.The main content of this paper includes the following five parts:The first chapter : introduction.Including the reasons for choosing the topic and the significance of the research,research methods and the related research at home and abroad.The second chapter : theoretical basis.This paper mainly introduces the history and theoretical content of the theory of multiple intelligences,and the role of theory in teaching field.The third chapter: the theory of multiple intelligences in the University and Jeonju University in Korea at Woosuk University Chinese poetry classroom teaching design--Taking?Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again?case based on.Based on the theory of multiple intelligences,the author puts forward the design of Chinese poetry teaching.The fourth chapter: the application effect and feedback evaluation of teaching design.Through questionnaires and interviews,the author discusses the views of teachers and students on the new teaching methods.The fifth chapter: conclusion.Summarize the main points of this study,put forward the limitations of this study and the prospect of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
