China's economic and international status has gradually risen, more and more people are learning Chinese, and the number of international students coming to China is increasing day by day.The acquisition of Chinese characters is also the basis and difficulty of Chinese learning. Therefore, research on the teaching of Chinese characters is an urgent task.In 1983,Howard Gardner,a well-known psychologist and educator, proposed the theory of multiple intelligences. He believed that people have eight kinds of intelligence, namely speech-linguistic intelligence,logic-mathematical intelligence,visual-spatial intelligence, and body-kinetic intelligence.Music-rhythmic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, introspective intelligence and natural observation intelligence, and different people have different combinations of intelligence.Domestic scholars have combined the theory of multiple intelligences with education, and some scholars have introduced the theory of multiple intelligences into teaching Chinese as a foreign language. However, there has been little research on the teaching of Chinese characters, and there is almost no teaching of Chinese characters to junior international students in Vietnam. The theory of multiple intelligences has important reference meanings for teaching Chinese characters to foreigners. Therefore, this article attempts to combine the theory of multiple intelligences with teaching Chinese to foreigners.Taking Vietnamese foreign students as an example, this paper proposes corresponding strategies for teaching Chinese characters according to their use of Chinese characters, and explores the use of multiple The feasibility and effectiveness of intelligently teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Based on reading a large number of documents, the thesis gives an overview of the theory of multiple intelligences. The survey and analysis of the use of Chinese characters by Vietnamese junior international students at Henan University was conducted from two aspects: one is the survey and analysis of the student status of Vietnamese junior international students, and the questionnaire survey was used to analyze the three aspects of learning motivation, interest and Chinese character learning The second is the investigation and analysis of the Chinese character errors of the junior foreign students in Vietnam, mainly including the analysis of Chinese character writing errors and recognition errors. After investigation and research, this paper divides the writing errors of Chinese characters into four types: stroke writing errors, component writing errors, structural writing errors and comprehensive writing errors;Chinese character recognition errors are divided into four types, which are respectively Errors in reading near words, generalized reading errors next to pictophonetic characters, similar reading meanings and reading related errors.According to the analysis results, under the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligences, the corresponding Chinese character teaching countermeasures and teaching practice are proposed, and finally the teaching effect evaluation and summary reflection are provided, which provide some references for optimizing the teaching activities of Chinese characters to foreigners, and point out the shortcomings of this article.
