A Report On The Translation Of The Promotion&Negotiation Projects Of China Mining 2015

The report is about a Chinese-English translation practice.The translation task——The Promotion&Negotiation Projects of China Mining 2015 in this report are the materials for an international conference known as "China Mining Congress&Expo."All the translation cases the author have analyzed are from this translation practice.On the basis of the author's analysis of the characteristics of the translation practice,Hans Vermeer's Skopos Theory was selected as the theoretical guidance of this report.Under the guidance of its three principles,the author flexibly uses corresponding translation methods.The report consists of four main parts.Chapter One is a description of the translation task,including project profile,principal requirements and the significance of the translation practice.Chapter Two shows the whole translation process of the source text,including preparation for translation,translation process and the proofreading.The texts types and characteristics are also discussed.In Chapter Three,the author reveals the application of Skopos Theory by using different translation methods such as literal translation,omission,transliteration and the separation and integration of sentences under the three rule's guidance of Skopos Theory.Chapter Four is the conclusion part,in which the author reflects on the whole translation,in hopes that she can do a better job when dealing with the same type of texts in the future.
