A Practice Report On The Chinese Translation Of “silicon Chip-scale Space-division Multiplexing” Based On The Skopos Theory Of Functionalism

In recent years,the space-division multiplexing technology has been developing rapidly,and this technology has provided a way to effectively increase the transmission capacity.This paper reports the Chinese translation practice of a related article called Silicon Chip-scale Space-division Multiplexing: From Devices to System.The paper mainly includes four parts,which are the introduction to this translation practice,translation preparation and analysis,the analysis of the translation cases,and the difficulties that have been encountered in this translation practice.As for the analysis of the translation cases,from the perspective of the skopos theory,it is the long sentences,noun structures and passive voices encountered in translation that are analyzed,and the corresponding translation strategies as well as methods are given.Finally,the shortcomings and challenges in this translation practice are summarized,which is intended to provide some help for the translation research related to the skopos theory in the future.
