An Interpreting Internship Report On Site Operation In CALACA CFB Coal-fired Power Plant In The Philippines

This thesis is an interpreting internship report on the site operation in CALACA2×150MW CFB Coal-fired Power Plant project in the Philippines.With the Interpretive Theory of D.Seleskovitch and the Comprehension Equation of Daniel Gile as the theoretical basis,the report analyses the actual problems and summarizes the corresponding solutions in the process of interpreting.The report is divided into five parts.The first part introduces the basic situation of the coal-fired power plant project;the second part is about the pre-interpreting preparations before entering the site;the third part elaborates on the application of the linguistic and extra-linguistic knowledge and the strategies used in the process of the actual interpreting under the guidance of the above-mentioned theories;the fourth part evaluates the performance of this interpreting task from the perspective of both the client and the interpreter herself;the last part of the report points out the significance and value of the interpreting project,the problems and corresponding solutions during the course of the interpreting,as well as some thoughts on the remaining problems and the future outlook.
