The aim of this thesis is to study how Internet affect loneliness.With the penetration of the Internet on our lives,our way of thinking and behavior are quietly changing,loneliness is one of them.Loneliness,as a kind of special psychological phenomenon of human beings,is developing into a common problem of modern people.What is the role Internet plays in the affection?Caused the author's thinking.At the beginning of this paper,the author analysed all the previous research of the relationship between the Internet use and loneliness,analysed the definition,characteristics and influencing factors of the "loneliness" to confirm that media can affect loneliness.Then,the article start analysing the the influence from the Internet environment and Internet social contact.Because of the view "media is environment "by the media ecology school,the author believed that,in the big picture,firstly,the Internet is as a kind of external environment to influence loneliness.Paper has analyzed the symbol,perception,social significance of Internet environment at first and then explored the self consciousness of fuzzy,information anxiety,lonely unbearable and easy to distraction under this environment.In the small picture,the social character of the Internet is the direct motivity of loneliness affection,so the following pages focusing on Internet social networking,analyzed its characteristics and four parts below,interpersonal surface,difficulty of communication,cognitive relation,communication quality.The comprehensive macroscopic and microscopic examination can be found that the influence of Internet on loneliness is all round and multi level.The study of the influence of the media on people is the need of human care.Previous studies on the micro level of media and the limitations of psychological research have left a lot of gaps to be made up for.
