The frequency usage of preposition “gei” is very high rate in Chinese language.The preposition “gei” is evolved from the verb “gei”,besides “gei” has similarities in usage with the prepositions “gen” “rang” “dui” thus greatly increased the application error of the preposition “gei” for foreign student.In this paper,the author analyzed a large number of errors made by international student,based on a large number of data about application errors of preposition “gei”.In this paper the author studied the types of error made by international student,and their Chinese level.Discussing the error made by different mother tongue students and finding solution strategy.There are 5 types error in this paper,the omission of the preposition “gei”.The redundant usage of the preposition “gei”,the mixed uses of similar preposition,the improper word order and the compound errors.List examples for each types of the error,and more detailed classification of specific content.Then classify the students into primary?intermediate and advanced stages according to the foreign students Chinese level.And classify the advanced stages into A B C three stages.Since there are very few errors made by the advanced a stages.the paper mainly focus on analysis the primary?intermediate,advanced B stages and advanced C stages.Then statistics the error made by the three stages student in different mother-tongue.Find out the types of errors that may occur with the improvement of student learning.Then analysis the error made by a native speaking students at different levels to find the special errors that made by the international student in the same mother tongue.The paper also discuss the specific causes of the error types.There are two reasons in the preposition.Negative transfer of mother tongue.Negative transfer in the target language.Communication strategies,Effects of teaching materials.There are many reasons occurs error for international student.To analysis the reasons so that find Solution strategy in teaching process.After a statistical analysis of a large number of errors and knowing the international student's learning environments.The most important thing is to strengthen the study of preposition,one hand to deepen the learning of preposition “gei”,on the other hand is to strengthen comparison study of the similar prepositions.Compare every new preposition with the old one.Find the particularity and strengthen the students' memory.Also to make the vocabulary quality clear.Explaining the missing of the verb in Prepositional "To" Sentence “gei + N +V” and “V + gei +N” in advance in case of the large appearance of the error...
