Children's self-control ability refers to their ability to positively control psychologies and behaviors,consciously select objectives,perfectly overcome all disturbances and successfully achieve all goals.It guarantees that children have the essential quality of finishing all missions,get along well with companions and successfully adapt to the society,and it is also an important aspect of children's willpower.In addition,children's self-control ability symbolizes for an important part of the development of children self-awareness.The ability shows in different levels in different age stages,and distinguishes greatly between two genders.Besides the intelligence factor,it is the important contributory factor which influences social adaptation,physical and mental health of individuals.Early childhood contributes a lot to the formation and development of the self-control ability,and a better of which is the basis of successful adaptation to kindergarten life and even social life of children.Children with different temperament have different levels of self-control ability and the self-control ability is related to teachers' verbal instruction which affects differently to them.With 215 children in the junior,the middle and senior class in a kindergarten in Jinan City as the object of study,this research chooses 63 of them according to types of difficult-treatment type ? easy-treatment type and intermediate type.These 63 children were randomly divided into two groups with three types of temperament above which were both implemented with two different kinds of verbal instructions by the method of quasi-experimental design in order toexplore how the two kinds of teachers' verbal instruction,the pre-task verbal instruction and the multi-time verbal instruction influence the self-control ability of children with different temperament.Main conclusions of this research were as follows:(1)Girls' self-control ability scored higher than that of boys in terms of self-awareness,persistence,impulse inhibition and self-imposed delay of gratification.As well as children in senior and junior class were both better in general self-control and its four dimensions including self-awareness,persistence,impulse inhibition and self-imposed delay of gratification than those in the middle class.And children in the senior class show better than those in the junior(2)Children with different temperament showed significantly different self-control ability in persistence,self-imposed delay of gratification and the complete self-control ability,which meant that children of intermediate type to raise show better than children of difficult-treatment type in terms of persistence,self-imposed delay of gratification and total self-control points.And children of easy-treatment type showed better than children of difficult-treatment type in both self-imposed delay of gratification and total self-control points.(3)Teachers' verbal instruction of multi times owns better influence on the persis tence of children than one time verbal instruction.After teachers' verbal instruction of multi times,children of the type of being easy to raise show prominently influence on the persistence than children of same type with the teachers' one time verbal instructi on.
