It's rarely made by academy the research on current translation mode of verb-shifting, which has not been thoroughly and systematically studied either. In view of the inadequacy of research,based on a large collection of verb-shifting corpus,with quantitative survey, multi-dimensional analysis, systematic generalization and corpus based approach, this thesis intends to generalize the current mode of verb-shifting from a semantic perspective and a grammar perspective, as well as to verify and describe the translation mode of verb-shifting that has been generalized.The full text mainly includes the following five parts:The first part is the introduction ,which is the review of previous studies;The second part is to summary the translation mode as the verb is uesd as a noun;The third part is to summary the translation mode as the general verb is uesd as a special verb;The fourth part is to verify and describe the translation mode of verb-shifting that has been generalized, the fifth part is the completion of the whole passage.Conclusions including:1.In this thesis, grammatical category is dominant in the hierarchy system of the current translation mode of verb-shifting. The macroscopical translation mode of phrases and words being generalized, the generalization of the hyponymy level is made according to the semantic field of words. This research has a cetain degree of propulsion.2 .Phrase mode and word pattern can be converted to each other.As the time of translation,shuold be flexible.For instance,Bai( ) can be translated as make sth fail and can also be translated as defeat.3. According to the collection of linguistic corpus, the frequency of translation mode of words and phrases is fairly high, which should be paid to with great attention.For example,Yue(?)is translated as make something splash ,its semantis changed a lot ,this due to the chracteristics of the object.4.Currently, further research of translation mode of verb-shifting is yet to be done.Linguistic corpus is not comprehensively collected. The generalization level of translation mode of words and phrases is relatively low. Those problems remain to be solved.
