New Textual Research Of Boxi In Fan Wang Jie Ben Ri Zhu Chao

Boxi is one of the most important entertainments for the ancient Chinese from different classes in the pastimes. As the history of social life, cultural customs and sports,Boxi is a important research object that has attached great importance by the academic circles. The material of Boxi has had a in-depth research and gives us a new concepts of Boxi, which are written in the traditional books classified four types and dunhuang documents. However, a book written by a Japanese monk Ning Ran, Fan Wang Jie Ben Ri Zhu Chao, preserved more than three thousand words historical materials of Boxi in the medieval times. So far, except the materials of the tug of war is used to study by one scholar, the rests rarely know and fail to fully use and research.This paper reviews the introduction of Boxi and its research status. It also introduces Fan Wang Jie Ben Ri Zhu Chao and the content of a book on textual research of"Boxi".The contents have the monks' life and writings between the two countries, explain why it has high historical value. The chapters arrangement of thesis, with the order of the Boxi,for example Chu Pu, Bo Luo Sai Xi,Ta Qi,Shuang Lu(with Liu Bo),Roll Stone, Tou Hu. Tn each chapter, I move the relevant historical data and introduces the characteristics of punctuation and briefly describe its documents. On this basis, I do a textual research of Boxi, combining with the literature and historical data from ancient times, and a detailed introduction of development and appliance, specific rules and other issues. The researches on various forms and rules of Boxi and the ties between with the ugly Zhong Kui and Zhong Kui are more sufficient. The study of Tou Hu Jing written by Shang Guan Yi,is the first time. This article highlights the literature value of the new historical research on Boxi, to promote the development of all kinds of Boxi in medieval times the face itself useful research.Because of the writer is a monk, he may not be fully familiar with Boxi and understand the culture.There are little value of Go, Ba Dao Xing Cheng, Pai Ju. And the tug of war have researched by a scholar,therefore,this article had not to research these Boxi.
