Reverse-ordered words formed with the same morphemes are a pair of words which is constructed by two disyllable compound words characterized by the same constitution morpheme and different combination order. Foreign students often make a series of errors in using them. Therefore, the study of this kind of words can make the teaching easier and more efficient. At present, the study of the reverse-ordered words formed with the same morphemes is focused on its definition, origin and characteristics from the perspective of Chinese ontology. Combined with specific corpus and textbooks, this thesis will study this kind of words in the HSK word-list from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a second language and propose teaching suggestions, so as to guide its teaching effectively.This thesis will carry out research work mainly from the following aspects:First, search the 52 pairs of this kind of words in the HSK word-list, and then analyze its part of speech, lexical meaning and structure. For its part of speech, most are invariant. For its lexical meaning, most are different. For its structure, most are the coordinative and endocentric structure. The difficulty is the words with close and related meanings. Teachers and students should grasp its scope, degree, emphasis, collocation,syntactic function and emotional coloring differences.Second, investigate the student's acquisition conditions of this kind of words. After searching the language database from the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language University, it confirmed that there exist many word pairs of high error rate in the corpus. And then it designed the questionnaire for investigating the acquisition condition of the words from the perspectives of high frequency of using, high error rate and the using conditions of this kind of words learned before. This questionnaire made up for the insufficiency of the language database from some point. Some word pairs have high error rate in language database but low in the questionnaire which shows that the context can help the students choose the right words.Third, according to the teaching material of teaching Chinese as a second language,to find out the unscientific explanations and made some suggestions to its translation. To teach the reverse-ordered words formed with the same morphemes, it is important to analyze its part of speech, lexical meaning, structure and the distinction methods of this kind of words, based on the high error rate word pairs and specific language database. It comes up with the teaching methods, such as attaching importance on morpheme teaching as well as connecting word and morpheme during the teaching, using synonym analysis methods to analyze this kind of words, emphasizing the teaching order in different stage and paying attention to contextual teaching.The result of the study shows that the difficulty in the reverse-ordered words formed with the same morphemes is the words with close and related meanings, thus teachers should pay attention to the analysis of these words.
