In 1978 to 1989, Chinese printmaking began to recover and entered to a new stage.Printmaking and other related art exhibitions were restored throughout the country. These exhibitions have become the most direct form to showing Chinese printmaking creations,and the printmaking groups in various parts of the country began to join the army of it.With the development of reform and opening up of China, the enthusiasm of the artists has also been an unprecedented upgrade, the influx of foreign art trend of thought has also injected new energy into Chinese printmaking. The style of printmaking has also changed from the single political theme to the description of the natural landscape and inner feelings,and the customs and habits of printmaking become to be the most popular one at that time. I choose to study the causes of this period in order to analyze the new state of printmaking show ,after the old form gradually become to be a new one and the form of printmaking turns to be new.Besides, the regional culture which gives to the artists support ,.and finally summed up the key point of this paper: what is the style of printmaking under the interaction of regional culture and exhibitions .The research object is the customs and habits of printmaking of the century at the end of the 70s to 80s, and I choose the "National Art Exhibition" and "National Print Exhibition" at this period as a case study,.The relationship between those system during the exhibitions and the development of the customs and habits of printmaking would be the the key analysis.This paper mainly discusses the following several parts: the first part, the system of the exhibitions began to move on from all over the country , the customs and habits of the printmaking became to be very popular .The printmaking groups of Heilongjiang,Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou and other places began to rank. The second part, the printmaking form transform the theme of the past political style to focus on the pursuit of personal aesthetic and inner feelings. The regional cultural resources gave to the local professional printmaking team inspiration source, and the team strength develop stably.The third part, the custom and habits of printmaking won a lots of prides at the system exhibitions, this kind of printmaking has been recognized by the professional artists. The regional culture has been effectively spread by it.The influence of the system exhibitions and regional culture on the custom and habits of prints much more deeply.
