In our daily life,it's out of the question that we enable to achieve our goals at once without any obstacles.If we could abandon the temporary benefits,overcome temptation and develop self-control,we may get a better development of professional career.This ability can be defined as vocational delay of gratification.Strictly speaking,vocational delay of gratification is one of ingredients of self-regulation system,which refers that individuals give up their time for rest or entertainment so that they may accomplish work tasks,obtain more interests and realize longer-range vocational goals.The factors that have influences in vocational delay of gratification are various,including internal factors of individual and external factors of surroundings.On the basis of previous studies,this study takes positive psychological capital and academic stress as variables to explore the correlations among vocational delay of gratification,positive psychological capital and academic stress.Besides,this study has potentially important value for enriching theoretical research in the field of college student's mental health education.The Positive Psycap Questionnaire,the Questionnaire of vocational delay of gratification and the questionnaire on the source of academic pressures are applied to investigate 500 college students in Shanxi Normal University.By means of descriptive statistics and correlation analysis,the present study analyzes whether there are significant differences between vocational delay of gratification,psychological capital,academic stress and the demographic variables.In addition,it discusses the correlations among the three variables and the role of positive psychological capital as moderator and mediator.The results are as follows:(1)college students' vocational delay of gratification and positive psychological capital are in a high level,however,they are also faced with plenty of academic pressures.(2)There is a positive correlation between college students' vocational delay of gratification and positive psychological capital.Vocational delay ofgratification and academic stress are negatively correlated.Academic stress and positive psychological capital have a significant negative correlation.(3)Positive psychological capital has the half intermediary role of the academic stress and vocational delay of gratification.
