Vocational Delay of Gratification is the individual’s self-regulatory capacity that the individual delay to meet the immediate interests and impulses in order to pursue more valuable long-term career goals or work interests. For any organization, Job Performance is the foundation to achieve its objectives and mission, the capacity of Vocational Delay of Gratification will directly affect the current and future job performance of the employees. At the same time, for staff or organization, the long-term survival and development will have an important impact.In this study, Vocational Delay of Gratification questionnaire prepared by Liu xiaoyan (2007), Job Performance prepared by Chen jiazhou(2001). The survey consisted of seven companies, as Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry co.,Ltd, Jiangxi Copper Corporation and other five companies from Guangdong, Zhejiang. Hunan, recovered a total of225valid questionnaires. Used descriptive statistical analysis, analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis. The following conclusion is:(1) Employees’work experience and Vocational Delay of Gratification was the "wave"-shaped, the overall trend into a rise in the state.(2) Employees’Vocational Delay of Gratification significantly associated with their Job Performance, and Job Performance of employees and its dimensions with the Occupational improve and improve to Vocational Delay of Gratification.(3) Employees’Vocational Delay of Gratification has significantly affected their Job Performance.(4) The Career Delay of Gratification more impact on Job Performance and Background Performance; but, Work Delay of Gratification more influence task performance.
