In interpersonal communication,expression is an important way of transfer the emotion and communication.In the same way,the characters of fine brushwork figure painting expression,in the role of the whole picture is also very important,character expression can reflect the character's thoughts and feelings,also can reflect the author want to convey emotion,even can reflect the social and cultural thought of the time.Through the analysis of the historical period of the female image in the works of fine brushwork figure painting expression characteristics,and analysis the painter wants to convey the thought connotation,exploring period works creation history background and social characteristics.Traditional fine brushwork figure paintings,character expression are mostly presented a "neutral" expression,calm indifference,of couse,this is due to the influence of the traditional philosophy,Confucius Confucian school and the Taoist thought of zhuang zi a deep influence on people at that time,especially the painter,"benevolence" and "li" has formed the idea of entrenched in their thinking,"xingshenjianbei" is their pursuit of realm,according to the needs of creation,played down the characters facial expressions,created many excellent works,also make the "neutral" expression lasted for thousands of years.The author through to the ancient female images in traditional and modern fine brushwork figure painting of the facial expression analysis,combined with their own ideas and creation concept,respectively,in order to "neutral" and "expression" is the key created 10 graduate work performance,reflects the author's understanding of female image expression,expressed the author the character of the pursuit of beauty and artistic conception.
