As a mass media,Film does not only owes the ability to build reality.But also is an artistic reconstruction.In accordance with the established theme framework,Creators will build characters,set the scene of the conflict and use montage technique to achieve the concept of transmission or some value expression.After the founding of new China,Chinese films either in the mainland or Hong Kong formed their own traditions,typically such as the mainland's "mainstream theme" movies and Hong Kong urban films.This paper selects 29 films,where the reporters are film images focused on the performance and characterization of the characters,shot around news as the object of the study,And this article will adopt content analysis method to carry on the quantitative analysis on these films,to summarize the overall image structure of contemporary Chinese film according to the 50 characters reappearing.And to sum up their types and features in mainstream movies and Hong Kong films.On the basis of this,three representative films are selected,and the case studies are carried out together with the frame theory.This thesis will analyzed from the aspects of film theme,narrative structure and characters around how the contemporary Chinese films complete the construction of journalists' images.It is found that the image constructed by contemporary Chinese films tends to be positive,and the positive image frame is the general characteristics of journalists' molding in Chinese film.They have adhered to the professionalism of journalism,have high social status and promote the social mainstream values as mission.The journalists in Hong Kong films hold two major image features,one is the detective heroism,the other is to fight for reality.However under the influence of "stereotype",the images in the mainland theme film and Hong Kong film have shown a modeled characteristics.But the new era of Chinese film on the types of the reporter shaping has undergone great changes,highlighting the performance of the film workers in light of the reporter's images no longer follow the model,simplistic creative path,but close to the current social reality,so that The image of journalists is more diversified and humane.In the first chapter,the author reviews the research on the image of journalists in the film,expounds the connotation of "frame" and the development of frame theory in the field of communication.The second and third chapter briefly summarizes the development of the mainland "theme" film and Hong Kong film,define research samples and research questions,use the content analysis method to carry on the statistical analysis for the contemporary Chinese film shaping journalist image and summarize the frame characteristic and the image type of it.In the fourth chapter,we select the representative film in contemporary Chinese film to carry out case study,and carry on specific analysis from the film theme frame,narrative frame,image frame etc.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the journalist image constructed in contemporary Chinese film works,this study can make us more comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the journalist image,and provide a new perspective for us to interpret the image of journalists in literary and artistic works.Through the academic evaluation of the characteristics of the frame in the construction of the image,the film workers can improve the way and value orientation of the journalist's image in a more prudent manner,and construct the image in a more realistic way,meeting the contemporary requirement.
