The Application Of Modern Ceramic Art In The Design Of Public Space

With the development of modern city,it is important for urban public space design to focus on the organic integration of natural and humanistic demands to shape the image of the city.Modern ceramic art with its unique material advantages and charm can be fully fit the special needs of different types of public space,and inject new vitality into the urban public space design.Sculptures,paintings,installations,architectural intervention,public facilities and other forms of modern ceramics,not only express their own characteristics in more diverse art forms,but also has become rich,intuitive and has a strong appeal of the landscape components in the urban public space,play an important role in shaping the city logo,conveying emotional meaning,establishing individual symbols,reflecting the geographical characteristics and cultural sense of history,providing a rich spatial experience and extending material reuse value.Appropriate application of modern ceramic art in the urban public space design,can fully meet the pace of modern city construction and aesthetic needs of the community,also contribute to the promotion of urban art and culture.Therefore,the research of applying modern ceramic art in public space design is becoming more and more essential.This paper studies the application of modern ceramic art in the design of urban public space through some methods as the literature research method,the comparative analysis method and summarizes the various methods,and makes a detailed investigation,analysis and research on the modern ceramic art in the urban public space design.First of all,the author access to a large number of Chinese and foreign literature,from the concept of modern ceramic art,the development of it,and summarize the urban public space in the modern ceramic art form and its characteristics.On the basisof comprehensive analysis of the above theories,the author then analyzes and summarizes the interaction between urban public space and modern ceramic art,such as subject,scale,texture,color and so on.In this paper,the urban public space The shape,the color,the material,the production process and the installation process of the modern ceramic art are discussed,and the spatial shape,function type,scale,texture and color of the public space environment are discussed respectively.And so on to design ideas.So as to discover the design concept of modern ceramic art in the view of urban public space.Through the study found that the main design principles of modern ceramic art in public space of the city show a cordial and harmonious atmosphere;dominated by public demand and usage,taking into account local and regional identity;under the condition of sustainable development of ecological,flexible approach to analysis of modern ceramic art design methods,that pottery works of their own design and pottery works outside the environment design,public interaction between the three harmonious design.In the practical research,the modern ceramic art design of JingSuoguan Cultural Square is carried out on the basis of the application research of modern ceramic art in urban public space design,and the theoretical research is further verified.In conclusion,all the theoretical and practical research of this subject are focus on providing a theoretical and practical guidance for the application of modern ceramic art in urban public space.
