Comparison Of Hong Kong Community Words And Putonghua Vocabulary

This paper intends to start from the Hong Kong community words included in the Hong Kong Community Dictionary,the Modern Chinese Dictionary(Sixth Edition),the Guangzhou Dictionary of Words,and the existing information such as the Hong Kong newspaper and the Internet media.Put these community words into the context of the mainland Putonghua context for comparative study,and focus on the difference between Hong Kong community words and Putonghua vocabulary.This paper also intends to reveal some commonalities and differences in language variation and development in the Hong Kong and the mainland,and to provide a more solid theoretical basis for language writing.The full text is divided into six parts,namely for the introduction,the text of the four chapters and conclusion.The introductory part reviews the research status of Hong Kong community words,makes a brief explanation of the research value of community words,and presents the research methods and research ideas of this paper.The second part explores the origin and development of community words in Hong Kong.Through the study of the source,characteristics,word formation and use of community words,it reveals the similarities and differences between Hong Kong community words and Putonghua vocabulary.The third part analyses the differences between Hong Kong community words and Putonghua vocabulary.This paper emphasizes on the one word with the same form but different implication and one word with the same meaning but differentforms.Based on the differences between the common words,the Putonghua vocabulary and the Hong Kong community words,the paper summarizes the different word relationship from "appearance" to "recurrence",from "quotation" to "self-use",from "quantity" to "quality" and from "extension" to "derivativation".The forth part is mainly about the influence of Hong Kong community words on Putonghua vocabulary.This paper explains three aspects of the community words types,the meaning items,the common meaning and analyzes the reasons for the phenomenon that the community words gradually enter into the Putonghua vocabulary.The fifth part is about the quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis of community words as well as the method of dynamic investigation and static description.The paper analyzes the absorption and utilization of the Hong Kong community words in the modern mainland Chinese dictionary and the mainland media.The conclusion mainly elaborates that Putonghua vocabulary and Hong Kong community words are coexisting and covariant.Hong Kong community words and Putonghua vocabulary are mutually absorbing and influencing each other.We should vigorously promote the Putonghua vocabulary,and give full play to the auxiliary or supplementary role of Hong Kong community words.
