In the process of teaching and learning Chinese language,comprehensive lesson is important.It provides coverage of ability in using Chinese language and is a prior component in Chinese.In Indonesia,there are numerous students attracted in Chinese language;they learn it actively,even pass it with flying colors;but due to the wrong technic of teaching and learning process cause their scores getting lower.Since the research of the demand of the students to learn Chinese comprehensive is still rare,I will do a research for the demand of STBA-PIA Medan students to learn Chinese comprehensive.I choose the second year students who are in the middle grade as my research object.Starting with questioners and interviews to apprehend the demand of the comprehensive lesson,then the research results will be modified with numbers.This research includes the background of students',point of view and the demand of Chinese comprehension.The purpose of using these two methods is to understand the students' demands of Chinese comprehension.From the results,it can be seen that the way to start each new unit,the way to teach vocabulary and grammar including types of exercises,the way to ask and learning activity require specific ways.It is because teachers don't use the teaching method as students' expectations in the actual learning and teaching process.Therefore,these research results are based on the four points above in order to give suggestions to teachers.Last,I hope my research results can be used as a reference for future researchers.This thesis is divided into six chapters: Chapter 1 is the Introduction including background,aims and objectives,and methodology of the research.Chapter 2 is the theoretical framework related with research of the demand in comprehensive lesson.Chapter 3 is the research design that covers school introduction,research object and the explanation of designing question.Chapter 4 is the research results.Chapter 5 is the suggestions for teachers.Chapter 6 is the conclusions,objectives and disadvantages of the whole thesis and expectation for the future researchers.
