To Be Out Of The Dungeon:Female Inmates Group Painting Guidance And Self-esteem Level Of Mental Health Intervention Study

persons serving sentences is a special population.The long Imprisonment may cause different psychological problems.Especially for those who are experiencing the late term of Imprisonment,influenced by the long fixed living model and closed living environment,persons serving sentences are anxious before the expiry of punishment.The research one is focus on the present situation of female persons serving sentences in Yunnan province.This research is in order to analyse female persons serving sentences' s mental health level and self-esteem level.The research two combines the Group consultation and painting which designs a plan of group painting activity for those female persons serving sentences who are expiring Imprisonment.The object of research two are 60 female persons serving sentences who are expiring Imprisonment.The experimental group and control group has 30 people each.This research is to verify if group painting guidance activity can increase mental health level and self-esteem level of the female persons serving sentences or not.The findings indicate that:(1)The mental health level and self-esteem level of the female persons serving sentences in Yunnan province is low.(2)Before the intervention,there is no significant difference between experimental group and control group on the score table of the mental health level and self-esteem level.After the intervention,the difference became obvious.(3)The score of mental health level and self-esteem level of control group does no show obvious difference without any intervention.(4)After the intervention of group painting guidance activity,the painting index shows a significant difference.It draws a conclusion that activity increase the mental health level and self-esteem level of the persons serving sentences who is expiring Imprisonment.
