| This report mainly focuses on the interpreter’s subjectivity at an exhibition interpreting task. This report, based on the author’s field practice of exhibition interpreting at the International Family Office Association Wealth Management Global Forum, analyzes the activities of the interpreter from the perspective of interpreter’s subjectivity. It’s suggested that interpreter’s subjectivity can be demonstrated on the one hand by the three roles she played at the booth, namely, role as an interpreter,as a sales person and as an assistant, and on the other hand by some self-initiated behaviors of the interpreter during interpretation. It is hoped that this report could shed some light on other interpreters who might have an interest in exhibition interpreting and the subjectivity of interpreters. |
