A Study Of The Cultural Value Of Zhong Kui's Image

Zhong Kui is a famous god in ancient China,who was born out of the Taoist belief in China and was respected in the original Taoism and the ruling class initially.He became the most popular god in ancient China after experiencing with the integration of folk beliefs.After the birth of Zhong Kui,the story based on the Zhong Kui ghost as the basic framework was formed gradually with the Taoism and literati on the constant deification of Zhong Kui.As a unique symbol of Chinese traditional art,Zhong Kui image has a long history and rich connotation.It is liked by the general public as its intuitive artistic image,easy to understand,the simple and unique style and rich local color.It is a folk art treasure which reflects the people's thinking and aesthetic taste and can not be ignored.Zhong Kui image has formed its own unique aesthetic and cultural values in the long process of development.People gave Zhong Kui different cultural connotation at different historical stage,so the Zhong Kui value and significance has changed constantly with the development of the times.Today,the connection of traditional culture and market has became the entry point to develop the cultural industries and improve the regional cultural strength as the state continues to promote the development of cultural tourism industry.This paper inspected the Zhong Kui Cultural Park in Lingbi County,Anhui Province,investigated the Zhong Kui image and its cultural value in-depth.The first chapter is the introduction;The second chapter researches the source trace of Zhong Kui image,and expounds the evolution of Zhong Kui image in different periods and sacrificial exorcise.It is based on the analysis of the subject,that is,we analyzed and interpreted the cultural value of Zhong Kui image.The third chapter analyzes the commercial and entertainment culture of Zhong Kui image in modern society based on the Zhong Kui Cultural Park in Lingbi County.The fourth chapter analysized the restraining factors of the tourism souvenirs in Lingbi area.By the inspiration of the design and development of the souvenirs based on the traditional crafts of Lingbi in the relatively successful case,analyzed the influence and application of Zhong Kui image elements in Lingbi area tourism souvenirs,and propose the tourism souvenirs development strategy of Zhongkui cultural park.The last chapter expounds the embodiment and application of Zhong Kui image cultural value in contemporary society with practical design case.
