Souvenirs as a special commodity, unlike general merchandise, which in addition tothe basic properties of products in general, is more of a geographical area or scenic carrierof culture. Tourism souvenir design essence, is a regional culture of design, diggeographical element symbols, from the design point of view of tourism souvenirs toreconstruct and re-build, is the cultural heritage and continuity. In this paper, theperspective of product development designed to Yancheng souvenirs and research, the firstof Yancheng tourism industry and tourist souvenirs to conduct field research, which foundthat the problem lies, designed to start looking for an opportunity. Meanwhile Yanchenggeographical characteristics and culture for further sort, from a historical and cultural pointof view, to the depth and thinking Yancheng souvenirs design direction and goals. The fifthpart of the article is mainly designed to Yancheng souvenirs propose some strategies andmethods, from positioning to design to market a full range of thinking, seeking Yanchengtourism souvenir design solution. The last part of the article, Yancheng souvenirs designedby empirical research to verify the feasibility of the theory and methods of the previoussystem.
