Study On The Comparison Of The Justice And Benefiting Thought Between Xunzi And Marx

This paper attempts to conduct a comparative study on Marx and Xunzi 's view of justice and benefit on the basis of existing research.Xunzi's view of justice and benefit drewdifferent views widely,in which it embodies the Confucian's theory of morality,Fa's theory of humanity and Mohist's view of saving.Getting started from the theory of human nature,Xunzi put recognition to people's reasonable desire and pointed out that once people sink in the pursuit of desire will lead to the results of human evil,and ultimately cause social disorder.On the basis of the importance of justice,Xunzi's concept of justice can be summed in three aspects: righteousness,first justice and then profits and use justice to deal with benefits.From the Historical materialism point of view,Marx treat people as "the people of society" and "history of people" to see the importance of material production,which affirmed the pursuit of personal interests.He set individual freedom and Comprehensive development as the highest goal of its struggle.Marx's view of justice is the unity of moral theory and utilitarian theory,specifically,it has achieved the Dialectical unity in four aspects,revolutionary utilitarianism and moral theory,personal interests and social interests,ethical thinking two point theory and ethical selection focus theory,teleological of Ethical Value and theory of Tools Ethical Value.Through in-depth comparative analysis,this thesisholds the view that Xunzi and Marx's thought of justice and interest have revolutionary meaning for the society at that time.Subjected to class restrictions,Xunzi did not figure out that justice is fundamentally determined by the interests.Therefore,struggle of the proletarian should proceed from the possession of productionmaterial.It is undeniable that righteousness has a certain degree of restraint on people's pursuit of interest,for batter development of China's market economy,it is necessary for people to gain the view of righteousness and justice,thus to form a reasonablevalue-for-benefit attitude in society.
