The Psychological Description Of Characters In “The Threshold Of Destiny” Translation Studies

This paper is based on the writer Shaddick 's novel "the threshold of destiny" as an example,the psychological description of the main characters of example analysis,explore the psychological description of different characters in the process of translation to use different translation methods to highlight the character's personality traits.At the same time,the psychological description of characters is also one of the features of this book.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly elaborated the selected topic purpose of this paper and the selected topic significance and the research achievements of predecessors on the subject and thesis corpus sources and research methods.The second part is the relevant concept definition.The third part mainly analyzes the psychological description of the characters in "the threshold of destiny".Respectively from characters of direct psychological description(character inner monologue and author accounts from the two aspects)and characters of indirect psychological description(charac ters language,character actions,character expression and external environment,the four aspects)to analyze the psychological description of characters in "the threshold of destiny" translation methods and translation skills.The fourth part is the conclusion which summarizes the psychological description of the characters in the translation of "the threshold of destiny" when dealing with different cultural differences of translation methods and translation skills,At the same time,It points out the limitations of the article and suggestions for further research.
