Research On The Ritual-Music Typical Inheritor Of Zhangyi Sect,Taoism In Tongzi County,Guizhou Province

Music,regarded as an important form of social existence,can date back to long time ago.And since the primitive music is an element of the mixed social and cultural phenomenon,music is looked on as one of the social forms.Nowadays,with the development of human being,this kind of social existence has evolved into its present appearance.therefore,the source of the progressive power has been a major target and mainstream of music analysis in modern times.Under the background,music inheritance 's research,which has occupied a fairly important position in academic activities,for instance,scientific research,high-level academic conferences in various universities and colleges,is being one of the researches which focus on the traditional field of music but the research of its inheritance medium---the inheritors,is comparatively weak to the mainstream.Ways of circulation to most people are more advanced carriers,such as scores,sounds and videos.Music has developed a relatively scientific and durable way of inheritance through substances so far.However,though many ways of inheritance have been applied since the music comes into being as a result of group labor in the ancient times,the music can not exist without the function of “human beings” all along.Among Chinese traditional music,different genres of music have various ways of inheritance.Court music,scholar music,religious music and folk music,each has its peculiar theory guide,paradigm of creation specifications and special appreciation crowd,nevertheless,it is exactly those characteristics that limit its circulation range,therefore,up to now,this genre of music may disappear or be trapped.Three other genres of music except court music are still supported by faithful audience and performed by devoted players in a certain place under present social circumstance.How those “peculiar” music live in the world with nowadays' economic and politicalenvironment? And what kind of powers boosts such music proceeds? Those questions and the status quo mentioned above arouse my reflection.During the process of inheritance,one important circulation way of ancient music that comes down to us is oral instruction and rote memory,the independence of which is active carrier---the inheritor.At present,the research on the inheritor mainly focuses on the folk songs,the research on the inheritor of religious ritual music remains rare.The funerary rite of Zhengyi sect,Taoism is widely adopted in Tongzi County,Guizhou Province,focusing on the ritual-music typical inheritor of Zhengyi sect,Taoism and referring to materials,for example,daily lives,music information grasped and inheritance situation,this paper will utilize the research method of case study to study the following aspects:the amounts of music songs,singing characteristics,tunes and styles.etc.;existing conventional rituals,experience on study and ways and means.At the same time,the author uses scientific research methods,say,investigation method and musical analysis and so on to find out reasons why ritual music of Zhengyi Sect,Taoism,is still popular up to now from the viewpoints of inheritors,furthermore,to explore the significant roles of inheritors on the consistent development of traditional music.
