Comparative Study On Chinese Modal Adverbs Of Probability

The Chinese modal adverb of probability is not only an important means of grammar,but also related to verbal communication and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.So,We have a comparative study on them,such as "yexu,huoxu,dayue,dagai,kongpa".we discuss them insyntactic,semantics,pragmatics,grammarticalization and subjectivization based on the theory of three planes of grammar research and functional grammar.And we combine the static method with the dynamic method,description with explanation,quantitative and qualitative analysis,synchronic description and diachronic comparison in this article.Firstly,we discuss them in syntactic,such as the syntactic positions,the syntactic combination of Chinese modal adverbs of probability with the modal verb,the quantitative phrase and the time noun or time phrase,the co-occurrence of them with the modal particle,the collocation and co-occurrence of themselves.Secondly,we discuss them in semantics.we pay attention to synonym discrimination on the basis of dictionary definition and giving them a new explanation with grouping method.Then,we discuss them in pragmatics,such as the sentence distribution,the language body distribution and the pragmatic function.We analyze the Chinese modal adverb of probability in the statements,interrogative sentences,imperativesentencesand exclamatory sentences,the limit of spoken language or written language,and the informative function,textual function and interpersonal function of them.Finally,we discusstheprocess and reason ofgrammarticalization,degree of subjectivization,inter-subjectivization and intersubjectivity.On the opinion of us,the differences of the Chinese modal adverb of probabilityon syntactic,semantics and pragmatics interacteach other and relate to grammarticalization and subjectivization;the pragmatic context,the economy principle of language and conciseness principle of language are the key about all the difference and change of them.
