The Study On The Glossary Of Feidong Dialect

Belonging to Jianghuai Mandarin Hongchao section,Anhui Feidong dialect,has been widely used in various townships across Feidong County.In today's academic community,however,it tends to be regarded as a part of Hefei sectiondialects.Herein,this paper investigated Anhui Feidong dialect in order to reveal its language features,by attempting to analyze various aspects involving the features of phonetics and dialectal words.The whole thesis falls into three parts:The first part is the introduction.It mainly involves the explanation ofthe dialect name and the depiction of humanity,history and geography as well in typical survey spots.Moreover,the previous studies and phonetic system of Feidong dialect are summarized.At the same time,research content,meaning,method and material source are also introduced.Thus,some preliminary understandings of phonetics and words of Feidong dialect are presented in this section.The second part is the central content of this thesis,including four chapters.In chapter one,lexical structure,monosyllabic words and synthetical words of Feidong dialect are concluded,and particularly the monosyllabic words containing ancient Chinese are highlighted.In chapter two and three,by comparing common vocabularies in Feidong dialect and Mandarin from the point of view of morphology and semantics,the feature is revealed that Feidong dialectwords have a tendency to develop with Jianghuai Mandarin which is shared in central Anhui Province.And chapter four is a kind of monographic study.First of all,theresearch of relative appellation of Feidong dialect was made.The cross section studies of relative appellation,which between Feidong dialect and other two representative dialects which are Central Plains Mandarin of Bengbu city in northern Anhui Province and Jianghuai Mandarin of Anqing city in southwest Anhui Province,are carried to reveal the communities and differencies of them,so as to determine the features of phonetics and morphology of relative appellation in Feidong dialect ultimately.Moreover,the study of Feidong dialect special words with characteristics of folk culture was conducted as well.From perspective of three types of folk activities invovling funeral,marriage and seasonal festivals and by employing the way of diagnosis,the language features were investigated and in turn the folk culture in dialect was unfolded,as a result of integration between dialect and folk culture.As last work of this part,the analysis of linguafranca between the Feidong Jianghuai Mandarin and the Wu dialect was demonstrated to show the close link between the two dialects.The last part is the ending of this thesis,consisting of conclusion,references,appendices.
